Description:

This jewel-toned Gold Coast gem is a full-unit renovation that transformed a dated one-bedroom condo into a sophisticated, multi-functional city retreat. Designed for empty nesters living just across the street, the space now serves as a serene guest suite and a dedicated work-from-home office for the husband. Light and bright with luxe touches, the home strikes a balance between comfort and elegance.

As empty nesters, we decided to invest in a one-bedroom condo directly across the street from our primary home to serve as both a guest retreat and home office. We live nearby, but needed additional, flexible, well-designed space for hosting guests and working from home, and Outline Interiors made it happen. The transformation is incredible—it's hard to believe it's the same condo. Everything feels fresh and elegant, with smart updates that make the most of every inch. The thoughtful storage solutions and custom closets and millwork keep everything organized and out of sight, which is perfect when we have company. We especially love how they opened up the kitchen to create more space and the cozy banquette setup. The tucked-away desk in the bedroom was a genius solution. Your design choices with regard to colors and patterns were inspired, and everything works beautifully together. The apartment is a place of warmth and love. The OI team managed every detail, kept things moving, and worked seamlessly with our building management to make the entire process smooth. It's now one of our favorite places for our visiting family and friends to spend quality time together.

Highlights include custom millwork throughout, a reimagined galley kitchen with natural quartzite waterfall countertops, and a Waterworks double herringbone tile backsplash. A cozy banquette dining nook maximizes space and charm, while the bedroom features rich, riveted Phillip Jeffries wallpaper and a cleverly tucked-away desk nook created by reconfiguring the closet. In the bathroom, calming blue textured Ann Sacks tile is emphasized by widened horizontal grout lines and complemented by brass fixtures and contrasting stone shelves in the shower niche. Every inch was thoughtfully upgraded—including new hardwood floors and modernized infrastructure—bringing a fresh, transitional vibe to this classic building.
