Description:

This elegant pied-à-terre in Chicago’s iconic St. Regis building was designed for a pair of empty nesters transitioning from a large traditional home in Oak Park to a refined, modern city escape. With stunning views of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, this new construction condo offered the perfect architectural canvas, designed by Jeanne Gang. Our role was to soften and personalize the interiors with layered textures, thoughtful furnishings, and custom touches—from wallcoverings and millwork to bespoke lighting and art. The layout includes a bonus lounge off the kitchen, a sweeping open living and dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows, and three serene bedrooms for the couple and their visiting children.

Throughout the home, we balanced modern elegance with a sense of warmth and comfort. The living room features custom millwork that conceals wine refrigeration and supports a Frame TV, while the dining room centers around a sculptural chandelier and a round table perfect for gathering. In the lounge, we mirrored wallpaper from the main space to create visual cohesion, and the entry makes a striking first impression with metallic grasscloth and dramatic lighting. Each bedroom was designed as a cozy retreat, and the primary suite received a full transformation with soothing tones and layered softness. This home feels sophisticated yet deeply personal—tailored for connection, relaxation, and enjoying life downtown.
