This Lincoln Park home is a vibrant celebration of color, texture, and personality. Designed for a creative and art-loving family, each space was approached with an open mind and a fearless use of pattern. The kitchen anchors the home with a clean, modern aesthetic—custom wood millwork in contrasting stains, brass hardware, and a textured tile backsplash create a warm, timeless foundation. In contrast, the adjacent powder room bursts with charm thanks to whimsical bird-patterned wallpaper, a custom light fixture, and crisp wainscoting.

Behind the scenes with Laura

The standout “Rainbow Bathroom” features a custom concrete tile layout that creates a cascading multicolor effect—a joyful design moment crafted for the homeowners’ two teenage children. Equally expressive is the home office, designed for a plastic surgeon with a passion for needlepoint. Framed works of her art are thoughtfully arranged in a gallery wall above a pink sofa, surrounded by fish-patterned wallpaper, bold drapery, and a bespoke light fixture. Every room in this home reflects the family’s love of art, humor, and meaningful detail, resulting in a space that’s as curated as it is playful.
