Description:

Perched high above the city in Chicago’s iconic St. Regis Residences, this 2,443-square-foot condo blends modern sophistication with personal expression. The design was a collaboration between Outline Interiors and a pair of stylish empty nesters looking to downsize from a traditional Lakeview home to a more streamlined space that could showcase their vibrant art collection. The design team elevated the builder-grade finishes by introducing refined touches: rich wallcoverings, custom window treatments, lacquered millwork in the den, and thoughtfully selected furnishings that balance comfort with understated elegance.

We loved our experience working with Laura and her team! Our condo is spectacular, more than I ever imagined. Our condo is happy and beautiful, feels like home - but is also so functional and liveable! We really feel that she understood our vision/style, highlighted our artwork and created something really special. Our first experience with OI was so lovely, we engaged them again for our second home.

Behind the scenes with Laura

At the heart of the design is a deep respect for the homeowners’ curated art collection, which includes pieces by Fernand Léger, Georges Braque, Donald Sultan, and Lisa Lala. The interiors were intentionally kept calm and layered, allowing the art and dramatic city views to shine. With large windows framing the skyline and an open-plan layout made for entertaining, the space feels light, collected, and timeless—a perfect city retreat that honors both modern design and deeply personal style.
