Sarah Jacquelyn Schwuchow of Sarah Jacquelyn Interiors created this stylish and glamorous retreat with emerald and magenta details for her Chicago clients, proving that a little bit of drama can go a very long way. A wall covering with a reptilian-inspired print from Zoff any adds texture, and lighting by Arteriors, through CAI Designs, coordinates with the elegance of the brass fittings and hardware. photography by Dustin halleck

Designer Laura Tribett of Outline Interiors created this cheerful bath in a tiny space for clients in the historic Cudahy Mansionin Chicago. The colors are inspired by a silk scarf the client brought back from China, which holds pride of place over the custom floating vanity. The shower and backsplash are clad in tile from Ann Sacks, accented by brass-finished fixtures and hardware by Waterworks. photography by sarah croWley
