Laura names “40 under 40”

Whenever anyone is in the process of buying a house, we always recommend bringing a designer in as early as possible — which is exactly what these awesome clients did! It makes the whole transition streamlined from the beginning, and is a great way to set a cohesive design vision to make your new house feel like your home.
For this project, our clients had recently purchased a home that had a lot of vintage charm — but it wasn’t exactly functional, and that “charm” definitely was super dated. It was time for a gut kitchen renovation to open up and brighten the space, and design it to reflect our clients’ distinct taste.
You might be wondering — wait I thought this was a post about a kitchen — why are they showing me the dining room?? We’ll tell you why! We decided to bust right through that wall to create a brighter and more open kitchen / dining space.
Our job throughout the whole process was to make sure the design we wanted was actually feasible within the house structure. It’s important to fully understand all of the details of the existing building conditions and its capabilities when we start the design to ensure we’re not wasting our clients’ time or money. We’re so happy that with the right planning, we could open the whole home up!
When the dust had settled, it was time to move forward with the overall design of the kitchen. Our clients are huge travelers and are very influenced by Morocco, so we had fun playing with color! We presented a few different ideas to them, and the final product was a fun blend of all of the concepts.
We are so grateful for our lovely clients, talented tradesmen + women, and photographer to make this dream renovation happen! With their efforts, we were able to complete this project months before the pandemic hit. In March 2020, they welcomed their first child into the world. Between late night feedings, adjusting to your new role as parents – ain’t nobody got time to be living through a Kitchen renovation (add on top of that your run-of-the-mill global pandemic!).
“We have a beautiful, functional kitchen dreamt up by Outline Interiors that is way beyond what we could have done with a contractor alone. Enjoying the small customized details every day!”

When I purchased my condo, I had to start from scratch with furniture. After hours upon hours of internet searching, I had narrowed my choices down to approximately 80 couches, 25 beds and 40 different options for counter stools. At
