Lincoln Park Living & Dining

CHICAGO, IL

"Living meets Dining"

Starting from scratch can be equal parts exhilarating and overwhelming when it comes to designing a space. Our clients had just purchased this beautiful Lincoln Park townhome and reached out to us to handle the design of their open Living / Dining Room space. Knowing that we wanted to create two deliberate areas within the same room, we decided to stick with a neutral color palette to maintain a sense of calm throughout the space. Pops of teal and light greens here and there add a welcome, subtle touch. A large, L-shape sectional, chunky wool rug, and generously sized coffee table are perfect for lounging, as well as entertaining friends and family. For the Dining area, we decided on a large, round dining table that will be perfect for intimate dinners, as well as casual get-togethers or game nights. A bar cart was a must-have for this couple. They wanted to be able to store and display their barware in a fun, and practical manner, and we were happy to oblige! A pair of tall, open shelving units flanking the bar cart created ample opportunity for displaying accessories, books, photos, and plants.

What Our Client Says

Laura has a warm, patient and inviting approach to design. We had no idea what to expect and were hesitant to engage a professional to help with the design of our new home. Thankfully Laura was fantastic from day one. She listens to what you are trying to accomplish, adds her own flair, and brings back ideas you would have never thought of on your own. She takes the time necessary to ensure you are making decisions you want; a true collaborative effort. It’s always a bonus to work with great people you genuinely like. Laura is no exception. She is an extremely talented designer and an even better person. You can’t ask for more than that.
