Interior Designer

Summary

OI is hiring an experienced Interior Designer capable of executing projects independently and managing high-profile clients and vendor relationships with the utmost professionalism and patience. You are a wizard at problem-solving and know how to troubleshoot complex design issues with ease and grace. You are capable and comfortable managing a Design Assistant to help you execute your projects. Your high EQ and love for creating joy for other people is contagious which is why your prior clients love love love you!

 

You must have at least 5+ years of experience working on or leading large scale high-end residential projects at a known design firm, and be a Guru at drafting and planning 2D and 3D renderings in AutoCad, Sketchup or Revit.

 

Requirements (no exceptions):

 

  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience (residential experience preferred)
  • Exceptional Client and Project management skills
  • Exceptional Auto CAD, and Adobe Photoshop skills
  • Exceptional 2D and 3D Drafting and Rendering skills in tools like Revit, and/or Sketchup
  • Deep knowledge and relationships with trade resources and proven contractors
  • Obsessive attention to detail
  • Emotional Intelligence that is through the roof! Professional communication skills (both with vendors, colleagues and Clients)
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple design projects simultaneously
  • Ability to successfully manage / mentor a Design Assistant
  • Must be a team player and willing to chip-in when needed
  • Ability to express your ideas clearly, while also being able to take direction and feedback
